Gender-Affirming Services

More than 125,000 transgender people live in Texas, and for many, access to safe, affordable, and nonjudgmental treatment to medically transition can be a struggle. A transgender person has a gender identity that differs from the sex they were assigned at birth, whether that’s male, female or nonbinary or gender-diverse. The programs and services at Resource Center are specifically designed to take into consideration the gender-specific needs and differences of transgender people.

GenderBrave enables transgender and gender-diverse young adults ages 18-35 to socialize and support each other in a safe space. Members raise awareness of HIV in the North Texas community and connect participants with appropriate and needed resources for their health and well-being. Activities include advocacy, community building, discussion and support groups, HIV prevention and support, outreach opportunities, social events and workshops and forums.

GenderBrave meets every Monday at 6-9 p.m. for a social group that provides support and community.
