Employment Discrimination in Dallas

Dallas is one of a handful of cities in Texas that has enacted protections for LGBTQIA+ residents. If you live in the City of Dallas and you feel you have been discriminated against by your employer on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity, you may be able to pursue a case against your employer. Other cities with ordinances to protect LGBTQIA+ workers include Plano and Fort Worth.

Dallas is one of a handful of cities in Texas that has enacted protections for LGBTQIA+ residents. If you live in the City of Dallas and you feel you have been discriminated against by your landlord or housing provider on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity, you may be able to pursue a case against them. The complaint will be filed jointly with HUD’s Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.
