Resource Center has selected Devin R. Dillon (he, him) for its newly created Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) position. The Center is home to one of the largest LGBTQIA+ community centers in the United States and established the new role as part of its five-year strategic growth plan.
Devin R. Dillon is a seasoned marketing executive with over 15 years’ experience working with Fortune 500 companies as well as small-midsize organizations.
Devin says, “This is an exciting and dynamic time to join this team, and I’m glad to be a part of the Center.”
As Chief Marketing Officer for the Center, Dillon will be responsible for setting the tone, providing subject matter expertise and leading innovation for all internal and external marketing communications.”
“Devin’s experience and innovation will help the Center more effectively reach individuals and communities who could benefit from our services but we haven’t reached. Devin’s expertise will help us grow strategically while also supporting our current health and wellness, family and community, and advocacy programs that are LGBTQIA+ affirming,” said Cece Cox, J.D., chief executive officer of the Center.
Prior to joining the Center, Dillon spent most of his career working across various business sectors, including media and entertainment, architecture and design, and information technology, most recently as VP Marketing for Softtek, the largest information technology and managed services organization in Latin America. He has also led marketing initiatives for nonprofits, including Point Foundation and organizations providing HIV services. The search for the CMO position was conducted by People Performance Resources (PPR).
Dillon completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Loyola Marymount University, where he earned the MBA Entrepreneurship Student of the Year, graduated with honors, and was inducted into the Delta Epsilon Iota National Honors Society.
While Dillon is most proud of his professional accomplishments, he says nothing compares to the pride he feels for his family, who are very close to his heart. He comes from a family of judges, philanthropists and business entrepreneurs. During his free time, Devin enjoys the arts, the equestrian sport of showjumping, international travel, and entertaining friends and colleagues with fun-filled game nights. He is proud to be a Debbie Allen Dance Academy alumnus.
